In Kisoro you get ready to enjoy a relaxing evening as we prepare for the trek ahead. On the following day, we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Trek through the early morning mist in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to roughly half of the world’s remaining 700 mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and the day could belong. Carry a water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Experienced local guides will lead you through the thick mountain jungle. Once we locate the gorillas, we will stay and observe them for about an hour, this time is strictly governed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Day 1
Nairobi

Today you will be picked from the airport and be transferred to your hotel by the Silver spark Africa safaris representative then pre-departure meeting.

Day 2
Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

You will wake up in the morning have breakfast and leave for Lake Nakuru National Park. You will be driven to Lake Nakuru to have lunch at your hotel. Lake Nakuru is famous for its millions of flamingos and migrant birds from over the world, in Nakuru we have up to 425 different bird species. You will leave back to the hotel before dark for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Lake Nakuru - Bungoma

Today you will wake up in the morning for your early breakfast and you will have your morning village walk in nature and you will meet the Turgen tribe, one of the smallest tribes in Kenya. You will see the lake Bogoria which is famous for its springs like hot, warm, cold geysers from the underground form due to volcanic activities. You will have your picnic lunch with you and you will accompany yourself with eggs to do really practical at the hot geysers on how hot are they.

Day 4
Bungoma-Kampala

Morning in Bungoma hotel has your breakfast. You will be transferred to the Malaba border. With a new driver, you will be transferred to the capital city of Kampala. In Kampala, you will spend time strolling around the craft market and get to know the local name of different crafted art.

Day 5
Kampala-Kabale/Lake Bunyonyi

After morning breakfast, you will drive down to Kabale Uganda’s highest town (2000 m), with beautiful, lush scenery along the way. We will camp at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s deepest crater lake (900 m). Bunyonyi means “place of little birds”, so you can expect to view interesting and unique birdlife. This is an excellent resting point before the gorilla trek.

Day 6
Lake Bunyonyi

Day 7
Gorilla Trek

Enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains, as we transfer to our base in Kisoro, on the southwestern tip of Uganda. Enjoy a relaxing evening as we prepare for the trek ahead. Today we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Trek through the early morning mist in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to roughly half of the world’s remaining 700 mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and the day-long – a water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Experienced local guides will lead us through the thick mountain jungle. Once we locate the gorillas, we will stay and observe them for about an hour – this time is strictly governed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Photography is permitted (although not the use of flash, and there are restrictions on the use of video cameras), but with or without a camera, this is one of the most breathtaking and emotional experiences Africa can offer, and certainly, one that will remain with you long after your journey.

Day 8
Kabale/Lake Bunyoni To Kampala

Early Morning breakfast, then be transfer back to Kampala, arriving early enough to allow you to explore the city of Kampala. Today you will experience the lifestyle of the people of Uganda.

Day 9
Kampala -Lake Naivasha

Drive to Lake Naivasha where you will have your lunch en-route. After lunch in Mt Long’onot transit hotel, you will go on with the drive to Lake Naivasha which is the only freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the hotel, overnight, dinner at Elsamere hotel. Lake Naivasha is simply one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya, often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. It is private, secure and patrolled by Guides who can accompany anyone who wishes for the guided walk. Surrounded by water, it is peninsular and is accessible by boat from East or West as well as by road, taking under two hours on tarmac from Nairobi. Crescent Island Game Sanctuary shores host abundant birdlife especially huge numbers of pelicans, cormorants and fish-eagles with their haunting cry. There are more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park; hence many film companies have been to the Island to film the herds of Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Zebra and Gazelle.

Day 10
Lake Naivasha -Nairobi

Driven back to the capital city for your flight back home. No accommodation!
