In the morning of your arrival in Kisumu International Airport. You will be received by our guide who will be your drive for the 6 days of the visit to Kisumu Impala Sanctuary and thereafter we to Dunga Beach for a boat ride to spot hippos and birdlife. We extend our todays trip to and explore. In the evening lakeside dinner with sunset views. Overnight in Kisumu Ciala Resort.
Wake up with your morning breakfast ready and early drive to Ruma National Park via Homa Bay. We will have our picnic packed lunch inside the parks as we have our game drive to avoid any game drive delays. Game drive to spot roan antelopes, the Kenya’s only park with them, giraffes, oribi and buffalo. In the evening visit to Rusinga Island or Mfangano Island for cultural tours optional. In the morning, we depart to Maasai Mara through Migori County, Kisii county to Maasai Mara National Reserve. We will be able to enjoy our afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. The wild animals found in the Parks are Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain games including Impala, Zebra, and both Thomson’s and grant's Gazelles. Accommodation: Mara Explore camp.
Today there will be a possibility to take a hot air balloon ride for an extra cost. "Take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You'll ascend in the early morning when winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. Now board the traditional wicker gondola basket while the expert pilot makes final adjustments. As the pink and red fireball of the sun rises in splendor over the plains, you're up, up, and away for the ballon ride of a lifetime. Accommodation: Mara Explore camp
Early morning we head for Naivasha after your breakfast. Passing through Naivasha town and drive around the southern end of the lake, past the flower farms to the entrance of Hell’s Gate National Park. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you a semi-arid world with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains, and deep concealed gorges. An afternoon boat ride at extra cost among colonies of hippos will be ideal view over the Lake Naivasha. There are many activities you can do in Hell’s Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching, and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers, the choice is yours. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then mid-afternoon, and depart for your accommodation on Lake Naivasha for a well-earned hot shower and a cold drink. Accommodation: Naivasha West Beach camp
In the morning, have breakfast then drive back to Nairobi. You will have a decision to choose your preference drop off point or be taken to the airport depending on your flight time.
