In this forest, each gorilla group in Bwindi has its own personality. Some are playful and curious, while others are calm and observant. Guided by experienced park rangers, trekkers navigate through dense vegetation, following fresh tracks and feeding sites until the magical moment when the forest parts and a gorilla family appear.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; The Heart of Uganda’s Wild
Bwindi is more than just a destination; it’s a living, breathing ecosystem. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park covers over 321 square kilometers of pristine rainforest. Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Arrive in Entebbe and enjoy a warm welcome from our safari guide. Depending on your schedule, explore the city before heading west towards Bwindi. The journey takes you through rolling hills, tea plantations and picturesque villages.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Rise early for a briefing at the park headquarters, then set out into the forest with your ranger and tracker team. The trek can last anywhere between one to six hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, you’ll have a full hour to observe and photograph them a moment so profound it’s often described as spiritual.
Day 3–5: Extend the Adventure
