Itinerary
On the first day, you arrive with pick up ready by 2100hrs at the airport. Today you will be picked up at the airport to your hotel and given a pre-departure meeting on at hotel. Check in for your hotel have your meal and head for bed, night time. In this regard, you will be ready to start your morning safaris directly from the hotel to Amboseli National Park on the following day. Meanwhile, you will be dropped off at your hotel where you can relax and prepare to start your next day safari with a fresh mind after a long flight. I will organize a pick up from the Airport to the hotel. Accommodation will be at 67 Airport Hotel
On the second day, pick up at 7: 30 Am in the morning, we kick off our safaris, we pass through the town of Mlolongo down to Kitengela as we drive south through Maasai county of Kajiado to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. A scenic park in its own rights. Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania. After a picnic lunch en-route with the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, spectacular displays of wildlife animals such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, and various plains plateaus game can be seen. Postcard-perfect pictures are almost always guaranteed. Finally, you will return to your hotel. Accommodation at Sentrim Amboseli lodge.
On the third day we have to enjoy a full day game in Amboseli. Wake up with breakfast ready. Today you will have your packed lunch for reedy full day game drive but you may always opt to come back for lunch. We proceed with more game drive in the park in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest and Giraffe. Amboseli National Park is one of the best-known wildlife destinations in Kenya, primarily for excellent sightings of elephant in the big marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro (Observation Hill offers the best vistas). Chase the perfect sight of a massive gathering of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Accommodation will be at Sentrim Amboseli lodge.
Wake up in the morning, have your breakfast, then driven out of the park with the view of Mt Kilimanjaro, then drive to the boarder of Tanzania and Kenya at Namanga boarder, after the immigration clearance, you will be transferred to Arusha town. Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern circuit. Perched under Mount Meru and surrounded by coffee plantations and flower farms. Arusha has been known for the starting point of many Tanzanian safaris, and the base town for Kilimanjaro climbs. Accommodation will be at Malkia Trees Lodge
Second day in Tanzania, after breakfast in the morning, we pick you up from your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara. The park derived its name from the Maasai word “manyara”, which is the swahili name for the plant, Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which matures to a highly durable stockproof hedge. Have your game drive in the Great Rift Valley is part of a fault in the earth’s crust which stretches 2,000 kilometres within Tanzania.In a smaller group of giraffes, and many antelope, such as eland, Topi, kongoni and impala are resident at any time of the year. After breakfast you will drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire Park is one of the lesser-known game reserves in Tanzania, Tarangire rivals the Serengeti in its great number and diversity of wildlife. It is a good choice for travelers who wish to encounter more animals and less tourists while on safari. The Tarangire National Park is known as a wonderful birding destination and also features large numbers of animals, particularly during the dry season, when the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area. We will transfer to the Ngorongoro crater, via Olduvai Gorge. Ngorongoro is an impressive 20 km wide volcanic crater with 600 m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife, due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai Gorge is famed for the discovery of 3.5-million-year-old fossil fragments of an early human civilization. The Serengeti is considered Tanzania's best park. Big herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and many antelope, such as eland, Topi, kongoni and impala are resident at any time of the year. All three big cats are easily seen. Lion are often found on a kill. Cheetah is very common on the southeastern plains, while leopard can typically be found lazing in one of the big trees along the Seronera River. Today you will head for a full day game drive in the famous Serengeti National Park. This Park is to Tanzania, what the Masai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya. Covering 14,763 sq km, the Serengeti NP is dominated by vast, open plains with an abundance of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent viewing game and absorbing the breathtaking scenery of the almost treeless plains of the Serengeti. After breakfast, we check out of the hotel at 6:30 in the morning. We head to Kenya via Isebania Boarder. After our immigration clearance, you will be drive as we head to the main town of Migori town within Migori County. We may either have time to visit Lake Victoria and Nyaandui Forest if you will be interested before embarking on a journey to our hotel Od Kidi Cottages where we will have a night break before proceeding to Maasai Mara National Reserve on the following day. In the morning after breakfast, we leave Od Kidi Cottages for Maasai Mara National reserve which is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. The boarder intercounty boarders are what has spilt the two great National Park. Arrive for lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve thrills within Mara Eco system that includes Mara triangle, and other conservancies like Ol Chorro Oirowua, Ol Derkesi, Lemek, Maji Moto, Siana, Olkinyei, Naikara, Koiyaki, and North Mara. On the eleventh day, you have last moment to enjoy Mara cycle, have your morning breakfast. Check out thereafter drive to the park, have your second days of full day game drive in Mara reserve. Mara is the land of the Maasai people awesome popular game viewing time in the morning. During the early hours, temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, cheetah, and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next prey, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog. You will wake up for a morning breakfast then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best national parks in Kenya given that it has one of the Rift Valley soda Lakes. On arrival you get a welcome and shown to your room. After lunch take a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, which is well known as bird lover’s hub because of the numerous birds that make home in this park. Lake Nakuru kenya Park is home to over 400 bird species including the flamingos that live on the lake and in the park’s savannah grasslands. The bird species include but not limited to African Fish Eagle, Slender-billed greenbul, Long-tailed widowbird, Rufous-throated wryneck, Montane white-eye, Red-capped lark, Northern puffback, Rüppell’s robin-chat, Shining sunbird and many more. After breakfast, head south, passing through Naivasha town and drive around the southern end of the lake, past the flower farms to the entrance of Hell’s Gate National Park. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you a semi-arid world with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains, and deep concealed gorges. An afternoon boat ride at extra cost among colonies of hippos will be ideal view over the Lake Naivasha. There are many activities you can do in Hell’s Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching, and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers, the choice is yours.
