Itinerary

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our guide will pick you up and you will ascend the eastern wall of the Rift Valley where lush coffee and tea plantations reveal themselves and your driver-guide will give you a brief talk about coffee farming in Kenya. You will have a short stop-over at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photographs and then proceed with your drive to arrive at Lake Nakuru Park. In Nakuru after lunch, you will set for a game drive in the park in searches of the big five animals like a lion, rhino, leopard and cheetah, and more other animals. Lake Nakuru is famous for its millions of flamingoes and migrant birds from over the world; in Nakuru, we have up to 425 different bird species. Accommodation: Lake Nakuru lodge

Early in the morning breakfast, depart with your drive en route to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most popular nature reserve. Today, you will have an afternoon game drive in the park. Maasai Mara NR, is renowned for its impressive number of big cats, most notably lions, though you may spot the odd cheetah as well. The Serengeti plains, irrigated by the river Mara, make up much of the park and sustain huge populations of migratory animals, including wildebeest, giraffes, and zebras. You'll enjoy the game safaris at different part of the park to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Accommodation: Aa Lodge Mara

Set out for FULL DAY game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours’ temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. The wild animals found in the Parks are Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain games including Impala, Zebra, and both Thomson’s and grant's Gazelles. Accommodation: Aa Lodge Mara

Enjoy a full day in Maasai Mara National Reserve. You'll have game drives with a visit to the Maasai Village at an extra cost of $50pp. In Mara Village you will interact with the Maasai and learn their tradition and culture. You’ve seen pictures of them adorned with the brilliant red, blue and purple patterns of the shukas they wear. The men with their spears, tall and proud. The women were bejeweled with bright beaded earrings and scarves. These are some of the oldest inhabitants of East Africa, the Maasai people. They live in small mud-thatched villages, surrounded by their cattle and smaller livestock. For hundreds of years, the Maasai have roamed the lands of Kenya and Tanzania, living a free, nomadic lifestyle. Their traditional lands now comprise much of Kenya’s national parks. A highlight of your safari vacation is a visit with these Maasai people. Many of the tribes’ welcome visitors to their villages to view up-close their culture and lifestyle. Accommodation: Aa Lodge Mara

You'll have an early morning breakfast at seven thirty in the morning, then embark to the lodge to pack and check out. You will depart and drive back to Nairobi with a stopover for lunch. On arrival, you'll be dropped off at the airport to catch your departure.
