13-Day Aberdare, Nakuru, Mara, Naivasaha, Mt Longonot Hike, Diani Beach
Morning picked up from the airport/ hotel with a short briefing and driven to depart to Aberdare National Park. Check into your lodge, have lunch. After lunch have a thirty minutes rest before proceeding with your game drive. The Aberdare National Park also hosts a large eastern black rhinoceros’ population and over 250 bird species including the endangered Aberdare cisticola, Jackson's spurfowl, sparrowhawk, African goshawk, African fish eagle, sunbirds and plovers. After an early breakfast, enjoy a game drive en-route to the gate. Drive a southerly direction to the equator. Here, the locals do a water demonstration to qualify the position of the equator and for a small tip. After the brief stop, drive to the Thompsons Falls for a photo-stop then down into the Great Rift Valley. As you ascend the eastern wall of the Rift Valley, lush coffee and tea plantations reveal themselves and your driver guides will give you a brief talk about coffee farming in Kenya. Arrive at the hotel for check-in, and have lunch. In the afternoon, have an en-route for the game drive. Dinner will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge
Today have your breakfast and ready to have your morning transfer. Driven through the view point of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Narok county the land of Maa people. Maasai Mara national reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. The boarder intercounty boarders are what has spilt the two great National Park. Arrive for lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. On the second day, you will wake up. Have your morning breakfast ready to be served. Today, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the reserve, with your picnic lunch. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Mara Triangle bordering the Mara River with lush grassland and acacia woodlands, this is always good for game drive. The Mara is perhaps best known for the Great Migration, which takes place every year July to September. During these months the yellow savannah is dotted black by more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food and water. After breakfast, head south, passing through Naivasha town and drive around the southern end of the lake, past the flower farms to the entrance of Hell’s Gate National Park. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you a semi-arid world with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains, and deep concealed gorges. An afternoon boat ride at extra cost among colonies of hippos will be ideal view over the Lake Naivasha. There are many activities you can do in Hell’s Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching, and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers, the choice is yours. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then mid-afternoon, and depart for your accommodation on Lake Naivasha for a well-earned hot shower and a cold drink. Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
You will wake up for a morning breakfast then depart to Lake Elementaita National Park. The hike along the Mt Longonot rim is always perfect in the morning. You won’t check into your hotel instead; you will head straight away for the hike in Mt Longonot. Arrive at the Mt Longonot national park for your Hike up to the crater. The hike requires medium physical fitness and you will climb through the gulley that dots the sides of this mountain. We will depart to Amboseli via Nairobi in the morning after breakfast. Drive south through Maasai county to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. A scenic park in its own right, Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things majestic herds of elephant and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania. After a picnic lunch en-route with the majestic backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro, spectacular displays of wildlife animals such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, and various plains plateaus game can be seen. Early morning wakes up with your breakfast ready. Today you will have your packe lunch for redy full day game drive. Proceed with more game drive in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest and Giraffe. Amboseli National Park is one of the best-known wildlife destinations in Kenya, primarily for excellent sightings of elephant in the big marshy area and the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro (Observation Hill offers the best vistas). After breakfast, we will pick you from your hotel. Thereafter depart to Tsavo West National Park Arrive in time for lunch have little time to relax before afternoon game drive. Spot abundant wildlife, including the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino) while on day trips into the park. Have your morning breakfast then check out of the camp. Leave for Emali Train Station where you will board your class train to Mombasa.
