After a short briefing by the park ranger, you begin your trek deep into the tropical rainforest. After breakfast in Jinja, enjoy a relaxed morning along the banks of the River Nile before beginning your cross-border journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. Today is a scenic travel day that connects the adventure capital of Uganda with one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. An optional lunch stop will be made en route before descending into the Great Rift Valley, where the scenery becomes increasingly beautiful dotted with acacia woodlands, volcanic hills, and sweeping savannah plains. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon. Check in at your lodge and relax as you take in the serene views of the lake and surrounding forest. Later, enjoy dinner and prepare for tomorrow’s exciting game drive inside this stunning alkaline lake ecosystem.
You will be driven through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. Lunch at the Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. The wild animals found in the Parks are Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain games including Impala, Zebra, and both Thomson’s and grant's Gazelles. Overnight at Mara Rianta Camp
Today there will be a possibility to take a hot air balloon ride for an extra cost. "Take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You'll ascend in the early morning when winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. Now board the traditional wicker gondola basket while the expert pilot makes final adjustments. As the pink and red fireball of the sun rises in splendor over the plains, you're up, up, and away for the ballon ride of a lifetime. Overnight at Mara Rianta Camp
